BIOGRAPHY
For more than three decades, D'ENFORCAS has stood at the forefront of Caribbean music, eaming a reputation as one of the world's most respected and influential Soca sound systems. Through groundbreaking performances, award-winning radio broadcasting, international touring, music production, and artist mentorship, D'ENFORCAS has helped shape the global rise of Soca while proudly representing Caribbean culture on the world stage. The award-winning sound is comprised of BASS LINE-founder, voice of the brand, and versatile DJ-and MARLY, longtime member, event curator, and Caribbean music specialist. Together, they have built one of Canada's most recognized Caribbean entertainment brands, rooted in strong musical family traditions and an unwavering commitment to cultural excellence. Past members of D'ENFORCAS include STRYKA, webmaster of the legendary Islandmix website, and internationally acclaimed Soca artist and producer KERWIN DuBOIS, all of whom contributed to the evolution and legacy of the sound. D'ENFORCAS has performed across North America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and beyond, sharing stages with global superstars including Beyoncé, Drake, Lauryn Hill, D'Angelo, Nas, Machel Montano, Barrington Levy, Kes the Band, and Sanchez, among many others. Their influence extends beyond performance-they helped shape Toronto's Caribbean nightlife, elevating the role of the Resident Soca DJ and helping bring Soca music into the mainstream cultural landscape. For several years, Bass Line proudly served as the official tour DJ for international Soca star Shurwayne Winchester, performing throughout the Caribbean and internationally. For more than a decade, D'ENFORCAS hosted and produced the multiple award-winning show The Soca Groove on G 98.7 FM and later FLOW 98.7 FM. Widely regarded as one of North America's premier radio programs dedicated to Caribbean music, the show attracted listeners from around the world and featured exclusive interviews with many of the biggest artists, producers, and influencers in Soca. More than a radio show, The Soca Groove became a trusted platform for breaking new music, spotlighting emerging talent, preserving Caribbean culture, and helping drive the international growth of the genre. As producers, D'ENFORCAS has worked with many of Caribbean music's most respected artists, including Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyons, Iwer George, One Voice, Umi Marcano, and Shal Marshall, contributing to the sound that continues to define modern Soca. In 2012, D'ENFORCAS made history when legendary New York DJ DJ Enuff invited them to join the world-renowned Heavy Hitters DJ Crew, becoming the first DJs from Canada-and the first Soca DJs anywhere in the world-to receive this prestigious honour. Building on their broadcasting legacy, D'ENFORCAS continues to expand its international reach as Mix Show DJs on SiriusXM, with featured sets on Fly, The Joint, and Shade 45 through the Heavy Hitters show, introducing Caribbean music to audiences across North America. Their global presence remains stronger than ever. D'ENFORCAS returns annually to Trinidad as official DJs for YUMA during Carnival, has delivered unforgettable performances aboard 10 Uber Soca Cruise sailings, and continues to introduce Soca music to new audiences through landmark appearances including the AfriCaribbean Festival in Sierra Leone and the Soca Invasion Festival in Kenya and Tanzania. With more than 5,000 live performances across over 25 countries, D'ENFORCAS has established one of the most extensive international touring legacies in Caribbean music. Beyond the stage, D'ENFORCAS remains deeply committed to the future of the culture through music industry mentorship, artist development, and cultural leadership. As official mentors in the Mentors Lounge at Departure Festival, they have guided emerging artists while continuing to collaborate with established talent throughout the Caribbean music industry. More than DJs, D'ENFORCAS are cultural ambassadors, broadcasters, producers, mentors, and pioneers whose influence has helped shape the modern global Soca movement. For over 30 years, they have remained committed to one mission: elevating Caribbean music, inspiring the next generation, and ensuring that the sound and spirit of Soca continues to unite people around the world.
