BIOGRAPHY

Luis Albert Ortega known to the nightlife and entertainment industry as "Pretty Lou" the hottest host in NYC has continously made his mark hosting on Hot97, SiriusXM's Hip Hop Nation and soldout arenas around the country for Fat Joe, French Montana, Nas, Cardi B and many other A-List talents. One of the Biggest MCs in Clubs and Arenas Pretty Lou is now in remission from battling 2 bouts with LGL Leukemia and has defeated cancer through a rigorous treatment at New York Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. He has become the face and voice of many cancer patients who continue to fight for recovery. During the pandemic, Pretty Lou created his DJ tournament on social media called "Turn The Tables" highlighting talented DJ's looking for exposure. His industry colleagues have participated and supported his platform, completing 2 full seasons. relying on his fans and supports to help him and his family during the most vulnerable time in his life. After winning his recent battle with LGL Leukemia, he is now diagnosed with MDS Cancer, another cancer of the bone marrow. With God favoring Lou, he has already found a bone marrow match and will now undergo a rigorous transplant surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. After the surgery is completed, he will receive another treatment of chemotherapy that his body had recently experienced. Due to his overwhelming medical costs and his inability to work during this treatment process, we the family are asking his friends, supporters, entertainment professionals and compassionate donors to step in and contribute to help Lou through his health crisis. Lou has decided to continue documenting his process so that the public can understand the obstacles associated with cancer treatment and recovery. His estimated recovery time is 8 months to 1 year before Lou would be at full capacity.
